The mission of ONE is to enhance human compassion and promote peace through spiritual practice, religious acceptance, and social service. We believe that compassion is the operational basis of the universe and that the capacity for altruism is inherent within the human spirit. We are dedicated to the fundamental principle that everything is interdependent. Each of us is connected to one another, the environment and the universe in which we live, and that which affects one affects all. We further believe in a collective human consciousness that is both reflected in and a reflection of individual consciousness. Our vision is to positively affect the collective human consciousness by helping individuals explore a wide variety of spiritual truths as expressed in the world's main spiritual traditions, all of which support an understanding of universal, nonjudgmental acceptance and compassion for one another, and to facilitate expression of such truths in individual and institutional acts of kindness. |
